Topic: Childhood

Hm this topic might bring back many memories for some of u, may it be good or bad..
Well, i am a 80's baby so yep.. A decade of difference with the 90's.
Just gonna talk bout childhood i guess.
When i was in pri sch, i remembered playing spinning tops using erasers [stapled base tip] and also rubber stacking. Where by the winner takes the louser's eraser. =)
After sch, my frens and i would head to a nearest minimart to get a icepop.. 15 Cents only
My pocket money from pri 1 to 6 is all along $1.. lol unlike the current pri kids.
After sch, my usual procedure would be home or the playground..
If i head home, i would be basically eat and watch cartoons, hmm maybe even slp.
Or meet with neighbouring kids to play at the playground.
I remembered buses at that point of time is non air-conditioned and is red and white theme.
The bus bell goes Thattttt..
Playground was also sand base. You wun see any spongebase playground last time.
Computer games at that point would be like wolf3D or command base kind of games..
The kids these days now play online games at a very young age, and some is pretty good it.
I just started playing online games only after secondary sch.. LOL
Pentium 1 was widely popular and used last time. Hmm i remember i love to get a ice cream an hide at a corner and eat ice-cream, since having the chance to eat ice-cream is kinda rare. Macdonalds' meal used to cost only $4.50 a meal as compared to a $6+ meal now.
Arcade and amusement parks was not really common at that point of time.
Haha i remember when my imagination runs wild. i took a paper, cut it into a cd shape and imagined it to be a game. Mattresses were used as domes. Balcony's were used as Headquarters.. =)
My brother and I would use 2 phones in the house as walkie talkies..
Block catching was popular too..
Before my kindergardern age, jigsaw puzzles and yoyos were amazing toys..
